Spring Giving 2020

Spring Giving 2020

Hello dear friends in St. Pio,

I hope this note finds you and your loved ones in good health and spirits during this very frightening time in our nation’s history.

Here at the Centre, we understand your fears; several members of our staff are among the most vulnerable, having autoimmune disorders ourselves and among our family members and friends.  We know that many of you are in the same position.

As a beloved devotee of St. Pio, we want to be here for you.  Our staff is committed to providing the strongest spiritual resources we can to help you and your loved ones through this time, and to serve to bring Padre Pio’s spiritual children together in spiritual unity.

I humbly (and regrettably) need to make one request of you, as well, to help our Centre to remain operational for the near future. I know that many of you may be suffering from economic hardships at this time due to a reduction in work hours, or maybe even a complete loss of income, and we will be praying daily for all in this situation.  However, if you are among those who are fortunate to have had an uninterrupted source of income during this crisis, I would humbly ask that you consider making a gift at the Centre at this time so that we ourselves will not have to make cutbacks to our staffing and other resources – which would quickly lead to us being unable to promote devotion to Padre Pio as widely as we are able to as of today (please note that some of our staff have already voluntarily either reduced or entirely given up our own pay for the time-being in order to aid the Centre).

But whether or not you are able to provide us with a gift to help us remain operational, I sincerely hope you will consider praying with us online each day, and that you will also send us your prayer intentions so that we may place them on Padre Pio’s glove and remember them in our daily Centre prayers.

And please, as we pray for you, kindly pray for us so that we might continue to have the resources we need to fulfill our mission of leading souls to God through Padre Pio.

May Our Lady of Fatima cover us with her protective mantle, and may Our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us and our loved ones.  St. Pio of Pietrelcina, we beg you to pray for us.

Yours in Christ, His Immaculate Mother, and St. Pio of Pietrelcina,

The National Centre for Padre Pio

CLOSURE ALERT!

UPDATED 4/18/2020
Dear Devotees of St. Pio,
Due to the outbreak and quick spread of the Coronavirus in our area, all indoor visitor areas of the National Centre for Padre Pio will be CLOSED to the public until further notice (visitors are still welcome to visit the Centre to pray at our outdoor shrines and candle prayer garden). Note that our offices will remain staffed; our phones are still up and running, and we will be here answering your calls and taking your prayer petitions to place on one of Padre Pio’s gloves. We will also continue to keep religious items available and fulfill orders, including Padre Pio Blessed Holy Oil, relic prayer leaflets, rosaries, medals, and scapulars. Additionally, we will continue to fulfill requests for Masses as well as for us to light votive candles to burn in our candle garden for your intentions. We may be reached at 610-845-3000 or info@padrepio.org from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

We especially invite you to join us in prayer every day, as we pray the Rosary, the Efficacious Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Prayer to St. Pio, and the Prayer to Combat the Coronavirus via live video each day at 11:30 AM EST, as well as the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3:00 PM EST. Simply click on the blue Facebook Icon at the top right of our homepage (note that you don’t need to have a Facebook account to watch our broadcast; if you don’t have a Facebook account and don’t want to create one, simply click “Not Now” when prompted to create an account).

Yours in Jesus, Mary, and St. Pio of Pietrelcina,

The Calandra Family, Executive Director Nick Gibboni, and the Staff of the National Centre for Padre Pio
