Novena to Our Lady of Hope

Novena to Our Lady of Hope

Date/Time
Date(s) - Jan 08, 2026 - Jan 16, 2026
3:00 pm - 3:15 pm

Devotion to Our Lady of Hope is one of the oldest Marian devotions. The first shrine bearing that title was erected at Mezieres, France in the year 930. On January 17, 1871, Our Lady of Hope appeared in the French village of Pontmain. There she reveals herself as the ‘Madonna of the Crucifix’ and gave the world her message of ‘Hope through Prayer and the Cross.’ The basilica built at Pontmain by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate is one of the greatest French pilgrimage sites, noted for its miracles of grace. The Oblate Fathers introduced devotion to her in America in 1952. Her feast day is celebrated on January 17th.

Join us in praying this special novena to honor the Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Hope.  Pray this novena along with us either in person at the National Centre for Padre Pio or via livestream on Facebook or YouTube.

It is with extremely sad and heavy hearts that we announce that we are CLOSED on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, as all staff will be attending the funeral for Victoria (Rocus) Bellegue, granddaughter of Centre founders Vera M. & Harry E. Calandra, and oldest daughter of Christina Calandra Rocus. In addition to being a member of the Calandra family, Victoria was also a longtime staff member here at the Centre, along with her mother and sister, Christiana (Rocus) Mohn. Please keep Victoria’s husband, daughter, parents, sister, and entire family in your prayers.
