The veil known as the Holy Face of Manoppello absorbed the very first breath of the Risen Christ and imprinted on itself miraculously a vivid image of the resurrected Jesus. Modern scholars have confirmed that this image corresponds perfectly in all its measurements to the face of the dead Christ on the Shroud of Turin. In an extraordinary gesture, the National Centre for Pade Pio is honored to have been chosen as the only location on the East Coast of the United States to house an authentic relic image of the Holy Face of Manoppello which will permanently remain on exposition. Join us for the enthronement of the relic image of the Holy Veil with Bishop Alfred Schlert and Padre Antonio Gentili, OFM, Capuchin presiding.
